EDEN
The horizontal research area Ecosystem and Design aim to generalize the results of the vertical application- and business oriented research areas. It aim is to create a uniform flexible service ecosystem. Thus, the it focuses on service-to-service interoperability architecture creation with collaborative technologies for network structures, processes and interfaces that help to create highly flexible, functional, efficient and reliable ICT-enabled services.
The first project in this research area, EDEN, uses the ecosystems of vertical projects as use cases and works in close co-operation with them in the definition of the generic Flexibles Services architecture.
The work will first focus on following research topics:
Architecture and Technology defines the first version of the ecosystem platform architecture and starts piloting for components of the ecosystem, such as security, AAA, identity management, service management, etc.
Business Network Evolution develops declarative web services, which allow ubiquitous access to services. The work on information logistics will be done during the second project year.
Tools for User-driven Services Design focuses on enabling technologies and tools for services ecosystem evolution driven by user experience and creativity.
