Social Video
Traditional players from professional content providers to subscribers and individual consumers will work in new interactive cooperation in the future of SOCIAL VIDEO. The roles of the players are changing. Consumers will be important content providers and professional companies will have new responsibilities and also new business opportunities. Instead of simple straight value chains of media industry the new systems like SOCIAL VIDEO will help individuals and communities to publish fast and good quality video content with other individuals but also in cooperation with professionals.
The Project will maintain strong participation from both large, medium sized and small enterprises, as well as city administration and various communities of interest. These stakeholders will gain considerable benefits from opening up their ongoing service development activities in kind, as real world cases for the Project to base its research upon.
The goals of the SOCIAL VIDEO project will be reached through answering to the following research challenges:
- What are the (user and other) requirements for next generation collaborative social video production?
- What are the ways to select, validate and package social video?
- How to achieve excellent user experience in social video?
- How to develop an integrated social video concept?
In the future the most significant desired effect of SOCIAL VIDEO will be to boost services for third parties where the business has nothing to do with video it self but video is the carrier of information.
